Something has come up at the last minute the past couple of times that we’ve made plans to get together with friends. Today was no exception. The grownups were going to go out while BB & LB babysat and BB started coming down with the flu last night.
I think it’s because I’ve gotten my nails done. The previous two times we’ve made plans, I’ve had my nails painted (Black with a holographic glitter topcoat. It makes me happy.) so they would look nice when we went out and both times we didn’t meet up. I had my nails painted last Wednesday and thought to myself, “You’re jinxing it. You aren’t going anywhere this weekend now!” and here we are. I think I’ll chew my nails down to bloody nubs before the next weekend we’re supposed to go out. Maybe pick at a pimple so it looks like a burn mark on my head when I’m done. That will guarantee that we will get to go out in public.
It’s been a nice day though. At least BB isn’t puking and he doesn’t feel too horribly. I can handle anything but The Puke. Cleaning it makes me puke too. LB and I did some running around today while BB stayed home and relaxed. LB is a very good running buddy. We’ve made plans to hit the flea market tomorrow.
I love lazy days like this.
Baseball season starts up soon and then it will be busy-busy on the weekends.

My godson was over last weekend. I really enjoyed running errands with him (except for all the g-damned texting!!)

Luckily, the boys aren’t texting so much yet that it’s irritating. Well, it irritates Sweety when LB & I text each other when we’re sitting in the same car…

Sorry you didn’t get to go but I hope BB gets better quickly and it’s neat that LB is a great running-around buddy. I hope Madison grows into one too!

BB is feeling much better today, thank you. He’s a good running buddy too but LB is more talkative right now. I like that. It’s not like I’m hauling around a flesh lump.

I know this may be a TMI type of question; but isn’t BB old enough to puke in the toilet? Or at least in a bucket which is easily dumped and rinsed out.

Yeah, he is old enough to puke in something. I didn’t think about that. What I remember is when he got sick a couple of years ago, it was quick vomit and it went everywhere. He went to bed and puked in the bed and freaking slept through it. Mess. Major mess.

We used to keep going out plans secret until the last minute. If the kids knew we were going out they would do something stupid to keep us from going out.
I kept trying to give them up for adoption but my wife wouldn’t let me.

If we are taking the boys somewhere, then I keep it a secret. Just in case we decide to change our mind and not go. That way, they won’t know what they’ve missed & can’t bitch about it. Hadn’t thought of keeping our plans secret though. Good idea!

Just stoppimg by to say that we survived the move. I am up to my ears in boxes. I am glad that BB is better, I with you on the stomach thing, see I can’t even say it for fear of it! lol

You figured out the problem! You ARE jinxing yourself! Do NOT have your nails done, DO pick your face and for good messure put some wart remover on a wrinkle between your eyebrows causing a cuastic burn! Tadaaaaaaaaaaa you WILL have no wrenches thrown in the gears!
Unfortunately, you may look like shit but a few Jose’s thrown down the pipe and you simply won’t care. : )~~
When I figure out a jinx I keep putting on myself, I have to think hard of alternate ways thus tricking the jinx fairies.
Maybe it’s not the nails, did you shave your legs, too? Maybe it is as simple as not shaving!
