I think Sweety is going to start bowling on Friday nights. I’m okay with that. It’s kind of nice to get off of work Friday night and do whatever. I just realized that I haven’t spoken a word in 2.5 hours. Nice.
Thought of going to sit at Joe’s Crab Shack and eating shrimp and drinking tasty things after work but decided to come home instead. We’ve got a freezer full of liquor and things to drink and I had a bunch of cocktail shrimp in the icebox. I decided it would be better (and cheaper) for me to come home.
I came home and walked on the fucking treadmill. I hate the treadmill. I realized that I need new sneakers. My #3 toes on each foot hurt on the tips now. I know that you need to keep your heart rate up for so many minutes to get benefits out of walking. I know, Sweety. I know. But I just can’t even begin to get on that machine knowing that I’m going to be on it for an hour or longer.
So I decided to walk a mile. Sure, lots of you walk lots more, but it’s a mile that I don’t normally walk. And I walked it fast so it would be over sooner. When doing a mile gets easier, I will do more. My problem is I try to do to much and then get burnt out and just quit trying. I figure a tiny bit of exercise is better than none.
I hadn’t used it in so long that I’d forgotten how to turn it on. It took 10 minutes to figure that out. The dogs freaked out when I started walking. It’s not a sight or sound they are used to and they went bonkers all over the house. Running in circles, barking, squirming around on the floor. As I zoomed away on my walking sidewalk, I was able to enjoy the hairy chaos. Tiny Dog barked her head off at me. Heh.
I tried to text while speed walking and almost busted my ass. I am not a good multitasker.

One time I tried to jog on my treadmill while I played Xbox and I fell right off and nearly broke my leg. I don’t multitask, either.
You motivate me to exercise more. If you can do it, even though you hate it, I should do it, too. Ya know? You’re like my support group.

You even have exercise videos! You are already way more dedicated than I would EVER think of being.
Yes, let my supremely lazy ass be your motivator!

I just got my treadmill and I walk 15 minutes in the morning and 15 at night. I’m old…I have to ease into this practice. I’m afraid I have let myself go for so long – I may never regain my “old” self.

Where do you have yours? I had Sweety drag ours out into the living room as a permanent fixture for now. I have to be able to watch t.v. while I’m on it.
You will regain your “old” self!

heehee – I put mine in thegrandsons “toy room.” that way I can watch the 13″ TV while trudging away. Poor critter has to now sit on it – to play his games. Sucks to be him.

Trust me. Nobody wants to see all of the sweating and grunting that is going on here.

When I first started working out, I couldn’t even run around the block without having to stop several times. A mile is a great start.
Treadmills aren’t so bad if you can watch something interesting on TV. Of course, the best thing is to be someplace where you can people watch.

If I could magically be somewhere to people watch that would be good. I’m too lazy to put on my shoes AND get in my car to go somewhere to walk. I do good to get up and go across the room.
I indulge my love of watching jewelry television while I zoom.

Oh I can barely text and drive (shaddup I don’t do it often!)
I hate treadmills, i’m a lazy, lazy, lazy bitch.
However the one on the Jetsons always intrigued me. The one they made the talk (Astro) walk on that is.

I almost wiped out a mailbox trying to drive and text. I just stick to listening to podcasts now in the car!
EVERYTHING about the Jestons intrigued me! I remember thinking that we really would have flying cars by 2000.
