I knew it! Did anyone take me up on my bet? If so, you owe me a dollar!
coaew calls Sweety at 8 a.m. to tell him that she can’t get the boys because her bank account is overdrawn. She’s all upset because she’d already sent the boys a text message telling them what time she’d be here and “I just don’t know how to tell them that I can’t get them!” He told her that she could text it. Then he called to let me know they would be here when I got up so I don’t go wandering naked into the kitchen.
The boys? They are still asleep. I’m guessing she normally calls to let them know she’s on her way to be sure they’re ready (They always are. I get them up before I go to work.) but since she isn’t coming sent texts today. I don’t believe for a minute that she just realized this morning that she wasn’t coming for them because yesterday when BB was texting/calling her to find out what time she’d be here and to tell her that I’d meet her halfway with them if she’d like? She never replied.
Anyhoo.
In other news. I have discovered Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets and I am in love. These things are fantastic. I was totally skeptical of them but I am a changed person! They have the washing soap, softener and anti-static stuff built right in. And they are safe for front loading machines! Since we got a front loading set awhile back, we haven’t been using anti-static sheets because we were told they would end up coating the inside of the dryer with waxy buildup. It’s nice to pull clothes out of the dryer now and not have my hair stick to them too.
They also have the Purex Changes Lives program going. When you enter in a barcode from a 3-in-1 product, one dollar goes to the entrepreneur or children’s institute of your choice. You go to the website and can sort the women that you like to donate to by region or by how close they are to their goal and see what the money will be used for. These are all women that are struggling to support their families. I must be feeling especially hormonal because I got teary-eyed when I was reading through profiles.

Well you know what they say about a person’s past? If you want to knpw what they will do just look at the past. People tend to make the same past mistakes and you called it right on.
I am so happy that the boys have a cool mom like you.

So true about the same mistakes. And what makes it worse is that the boys don’t even mention it anymore when something like this “comes up”.
I’m lucky to have them. They are good kids!

I’m trying to figure out what the COAEW’s connection between being overdrawn and picking up her kids, is! What a dork. I have seen those washer/dryer sheets advertised and you are the first (winner) to let me know how they work. Now I will have to move my deadass away from this computer and go buy some. Thanks.

Overdrawn = no gas money and conflict w/current husband. But! The good news is that shit must be good now because she had us meet her at Target today when dropping off the boys. So I guess she’s got Target money now.
You will love the sheets. For real.

I am sure that the boys kinda expected it which is rather sad. They know her as well as anyone.
How do you like having a front loader? Our washer and dryer are over 10 years old and break from time to time but I keep fixing them rather than getting a new set.

Based on thing that the boys now say (or DON’T say), we can tell that they are seeing how she really is.
I LOVE THE FRONT LOADER! Honestly, I was against it at first because the idea of loading clothes in the front seemed weird to me. The ones we have are LG brand and the ones in the mid-price range. It’s amazing how much you can wash/dry in one load.

When you take the boys into therapy in a few years so they can discuss the coaew, let me know. I’ll send A and D in with them. It’s the same story, different person.
And you know what? S looks DAMN hot in that pic below. You shouldn’t oughta share semi nude pics of him to some of us…..;)

Maybe we could get some sort of discount or referral bonus when therapy time comes? It’s an idea.
LOL I don’t mind someone else looking!

I’m sure you wouldn’t mind coew being coated in waxy build-up. The hot kind. (But not the, you know, hot kind).

And I am a winner too. Trying to stem the flow of “I’m bored” coming form the back seat yesterday, I promised 20 cents* to the first person who spotted a four-legged animal. And, yes, I saw a doggy! The cries of “I’m bored” were replaced with a dull stream of “It’s not fair”. Ha ha! How delightful other people’s children can be.
(*20 cents because that is a coin of our realm).

This is bad, but I have been known to secretly bribe one child to be nice to the other (or at least not antagonize the other). They know that I do this because I trade off.
I’m all for anything that keeps peace in the car.
