When your little doggy has nibbled on her back legs til she’s almost bald and you’re looking at eyebrow pencils to fill in the bald spots? That’s when it’s time to break out the cone.
Yes, she is sticking her tongue out at me. Can’t say that I blame her.

I’m not sure why she’s nibbling. No fleas that I’ve found and no bug bite marks. And it’s been her whole back legs. Luckily, with the cone on, she isn’t even trying to nibble. Maybe she’s just been nervous?

You know, The Gray licks her front paws bald too. I also did a flea check and treatement, but she’s still doing. However, I have a feeling that if I put a cone on her she’d kill me. Literally. Also, I think she’d just start licking again once we took it off. How can you be sure Tiny Dog won’t just back to it when the cone comes off?

Normally she only licks if she’s been bitten by fleas or ants. She’s super allergic and a bite or two turns her into a mess. As long as her skin isn’t broken then she doesn’t usually lick. I’m hoping that once everything heals that she’ll leave it alone.
I will help her stay away from eating herself by spraying her fur with this stuff that tastes like bitter apples. I tried it once and it made me drool. She doesn’t lick when that’s on.

Poor, poor Tiny Dog. Could be nerves, could be allergies. More or less you will have to use a trial and error method to find the root of the problem.
