Whee!

This is the coolest thing ever.

Getting ready.

Our friends had a birthday party for their 5 year old and this magnificent thing was there. After everyone was gone and the kids were in bed – we took it for a ride!

Me & Dawn But clothes keep you from getting a friction burn.

I was all for naked sliding but Sweety insisted that a bathing suit be worn. Now that I think about it, I’m glad. I can imagine the sort of friction burn I’d have had this morning if I’d been naked.

Ready to go!

And I’d have never have been able to post those photos. As it is, these are the best of the ones that Sweety took. It is very easy to take a horrible photo of someone when they are scrambling around in a swimsuit. You can click ‘em to biggum. Make sure to check out the first photo of me and my friend. See the pink ring with googly eyes on my pinky? I am seriously considering wearing it to work tomorrow.

  1. I think that first one makes you look like you’re thinking “Really? Am I really doing this?”

Or maybe, “It’s not THAT high, is it?”

But really? It WAS that high. Next time you come down, we’ll have to try and get one!

We can rent one when you’re here in August :) We love the blow up thingies around here! Sam could do it, too!

Yes! We should do it! For the children!

Um, my vote goes to bouncy wet thing instead of fancy-schmancy dining.

  2. I’m always amazed how something intended for five year olds can be so entertaining for adults. I know we’ve done the same thing. But, I don’t think I would have been able to resist trying it naked at least once. The friction probably wouldn’t have been too bad if there was enough water.

I had no idea it would be such a blast! When I was a kid, we took a piece of industrial plastic and used it as a “slip n slide”. Kids these days have it made.

Now I sound like a crotchety old person.

If Sweety hadn’t been giving me the evil eye, I’d have done it at least once naked. I didn’t want to risk his wrath.

  4. That looks like so much fun! I can just hear you laughing and having so much fun. Do you climb up it and then slide? The picture of you and your friend is so cute. I love how much you enjoy life.

On the back side of it there was a ladder built into it. It made me feel like a hamster climbing up a cage when I was using it.

Thank you, we are cuties :)

  5. What a blast. I say go for it and enjoy the moment. As for the RING – hell yes, where it to work. I’m all for goofy too!

The ring is in place for casual Friday. I’m going to roll it’s tiny eyes at my phone when I’m talking to people.

  7. You are brave! And, that sounds like so much damn fun!

Brave, drunk….however you’d like to put it. I’m scared of heights and I don’t think I’d have made it up the ladder without liquid courage.

I think everybody needs one. People would be happier.
