Feeling Lucky

Thursday at work I won two passes to visit The Land Of The Mouse here in the Sunshine State. Tonight I won lodging in Las Vegas on Twitter. Then I went to buy a lottery ticket. I feel lucky.

Have you ever seen someone zooming around in a tiny sports car and thought, “Asshole. Driving like a maniac. I hope you get yours!” When I was walking into the convenience store to get my ticket, one of those cars zoomed into the parking lot. The flaming twatwad driving it screeched up to the door and ran into the cement posts sticking out of the ground to keep you from driving into the store. Didn’t run over them but hit them hard enough that the fiberglass bumper crinkled up and then she reversed off of it. Hahahahahahaha! I looked right at the busted bumper and then at the driver and just shook my head. Her passenger ran in and bought a case of beer.

Seeing this just makes me feel more lucky. I am sure that I won tonight’s lottery.

Here’s the niece when we were at the bowling alley today. She was pretending that her hands had been amputated. We are SO related.

At the bowling alley.

  1. Will you buy me a flight to come visit you when you win the lotto?

No. I won’t be here. I’ll be traveling. I’ll buy you & Sam tickets to come travel with me though. Mark can’t come. Someone needs to stay home and tend to Alice.

  2. If it wasn’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all. I have a better chance of being struck by lightning than winning the lottery. Will you still blog if you hit it big or is this the last post that we’ll hear from you?

I bought 4 tickets and only hit one stinking number. I guess all of my luck got used up.

I forgot to mention that I won a dollar from Sweety at the bowling alley yesterday. So, the theme park tickets, the dollar, the lodging in Vegas – they say things come in threes!

  3. Send a little of that luck this way, will you? It seems that I am the Vehicular Bad Luck Charm these days. I’d just like vehicles to continue to work WELL when I’m driving them!

I’ll try. It’s completely scary to be in a vehicle that is ready to die at any time! We just had to get new tires for my car (they were slicker than owl shit) and I can’t believe how much better it is. No more uncontrollable wobbling!

  5. How exciting about Las Vegas—your not that far from Los Angeles once in Vegas, you know…(lol)…I hope you WIN that Lottery, my dear…!
I have never understood the people with Sports Cars who forget–it’s still a car and Stuff Happens when you drive!

Hey, Los Angeles isn’t that far! Depending on how long we have, we might have to make a little road trip. :)

Next week…next week the lottery is mine! I think.

I couldn’t hold back my laugh when she bumped into that thing. I could tell she was surprised. A car is still a car!
