Stinky Dog 1, Chickie 0

I got up yesterday morning and shampooed the living room. Stinky Dog wasn’t happy about it because she actually likes it when the whole house smells like the inside of her ears. But it is done. And Sweety decided that it would be a good idea to rearrange the furniture.

I hate change. I’ve been sitting in the same spot in the living room for eight years now. I like it. My spot on the couch is nice and broken in.

This is what we have now.

See how the big couch isn’t pushed up against a wall? That freaks me out. I feel like someone is going to come up from behind and stab me to death. I’ve had to give up my comfy corner on the big couch and start breaking in the little loveseat with Stinky and Tiny. The good part about my new spot is that I will see the zombies come in and go after Sweety and the boys as they sit on the big couch. This will give the canines and I time to run out the back door.

Sweety and I went out for awhile after the carpet shampooing was done to give it time to dry. We put the dogs up in their room. The clean dogs because they had been bathed the night before. We came home to a dog room that smelled like pee. Seems that Stinky Dog pissed in her bed. So not only did the bedding have to be washed – so did she. For the second time in less than 24 hours.

Very oddly, while getting a bath, she didn’t howl the whole time. She almost seemed to enjoy it. This confirmed my suspicion that she pissed all over to get back at me for cleaning the carpets and keeping her locked away while doing it.

I’m on to you, Stinky Dog.

Making a phone call.

I definitely like the new living room setup! Now I sit in the corner and can see everything that goes on. I pretend that I’m an eagle on a perch.

True. You’d think that she’d stay clean longer since she had two baths but that’s not the case.

    Already time for another one!

  4. I like my back to the wall too. Other arrangements may look better but they don’t “feel” right to me.

BTW: How was tiny dog after the cleaning/bath? Were you extra special nice to her for NOT making a mess?

Oh, no. Tiny Dog was angry. She got another bath because she’s not smart enough to not sleep in Stinky’s pee and she screamed the whole time.

When we gave our first dog, Lucky, a bath she’d jump on our bed and roll around on the sheets as if to say “if I am going to be wet, everyone is going to be wet.”

I am so very glad that Stinky Dog has stumpy legs. I couldn’t handle it if she could get on the bed whenever she wanted.

Our pups always seem to get their way. They aren’t spoiled or anything though…
