I am.
You can tell me something and even if it doesn’t sound quite right…like not medically possible or just infuckingsane…
If you are my friend or a trusted loved one I will believe you. I will argue with people and swear that if you said it then it must be so.
I’ve decided that 2010 will be The Year Of Suspicion. Toughen myself up.

I am guillible too Chickie. I always believe at face value what someone tells me. I would rather be that way than cynical.

The weird thing is that I’m gullible when it’s people telling me something but if I think someone is telling a friend something crazy then I will play “worst case scenario” til I’m blue in the face.
As part of my Year of Suspicion I have decided to NOT tell friends “what if” when they are telling me something that someone has told them that sounds too good to be true. Well, maybe I’ll just say it once instead of every time they bring it up. I bit my tongue yesterday and feigned happiness at something and it was hard.

The year of suspicion.
I like that idea.

I can be gullible at times too. Other times, it’s more like, “Ok, if you are telling me this I am going to believe it is true, because you are an adult who is old enough to know better than to tell crazy ass tall-tales.” (I never tell tall tales. Just short tales. LOL. Oh jeez, I kill myself sometimes! I can’t help it!) – G

Hee, hee…short tales. I get it!
Someone told me a whopper a few weeks ago and it’s just come to surface. Now I feel silly.

I agree with Georgina above. That’s exactly how I feel. I’m going to ASSUME you are not lying to my face. You are an adult, and I think you are telling me the truth. Period.
But you know what’s ironic….I am a hella good liar. I can look someone in the face and lie my ass off. Huh.

I am a horrible liar. I don’t.
Heck, if I’m telling someone something and I think that they think I’m lying (sometimes this happens with Sweety) then I get all fidgety like I AM lying even though I’m not!

I hereby declare 2010 the Year of Letting Things Go. I generally trust no one (except my spouse), and though I rarely Challenge people, I tend to obsess about the details until I make myself sick.
My phrase, this year, shall be: “Huh. Well. There you go.”

Oh, I like that too…
I’ll be an extremist and either will regard people with the utmost suspicion or not at all.

I like that you have this kind of ‘trust’ in the people you know and love….And at the same time I know you are very smart, too, and wouldn’t be taken in by some un-truth if you suspected it was an un-truth…Am I wrong about that?

Unfortunately, you are wrong about that. I have a hard time believing that someone I trust would lie to me.
Sweety could tell me that he was abducted by aliens and zipped off to another galaxy while I slept & if he swore it was true after I asked him if it was….well, you all would get a blog post about his extraterrestrial experience.
