The best part of that story is that he refused a reward!

It made me really proud, for some reason. I guess it's just nice to know that there are people in the world that do the right thing simply because it's right, and not because they 'deserve' something for it.

It seems that people are surprised when you do something nice or right. It tickles me to see how pleased people are when I hold a door open for them!

I'm just hoping I'm planting little seeds in the boys' minds that will grow!

It's tough when the young'uns don't quite get it right away, but you did a great job. Maybe he'll tell all his friends about turning it in and show them all good example.
I once returned a 50cent plant hook to HomeDepot because I accidentally walked out of the store with it. Everyone, inlcuding the clerk, thought I was nuts for taking it back, which I thought was kind of sad. Since when is honesty something to be ashamed of? have a great weekend! - G

Thanks. Sweety says that having kids is like baking a cake for 18 years. You don't know how it will turn out til it's done.

Wasn't it just earlier this week that a cab driver return $21,000 to a woman vacationing from Italy with her family. There are a lot of good people in the world. Sadly, there are a lot of thieves both young and old.

I'm completely okay with mean in retaliation. I am the Queen of that shit. And I'm perfectly happy to fuck someone's day up and never take credit for it. It just warms the cockles of my heart to know that they are being inconvenienced.

My Mom always taught us to return anything you find. I remember finding a pretty pencil on the ground at school and she had me take it to the office.

I told him someday he will lose something and that it might be years from now but when it's returned he will look back on today and say, "Gee, glad I didn't keep that wallet when I was 15!"

Sometimes I daydream about what I'd do with my money after I sniffed all the drugs off of it.
