I had a Barnes & Noble Nook 3g reader. I let Sylvie borrow it a couple of months ago and it got broken. I found a new (to me) one on eBay and told her that she was going to work off it being replaced. Decided to make her pay up yesterday by cleaning the house for me while we were at work. I left all of the cleaning supplies on the kitchen table. I did NOT leave written instructions on how to use the supplies because I figured she’d read the bottles and use them in the intended manner.
I got out of my car in the garage and noticed an odor in the air. Pledge furniture polish! Smelled pleasant. Wondered why I was smelling it in the garage. Decided she must have thrown away the dusting cloth in the trash and I was smelling that.
She polished the damned wood floors with it. Do you know what is slicker than whale shit and will cause you and your dogs to slide across the floor like Jesus Bugs on a mud puddle? Polishing the damned floors with furniture polish.
It took two rounds of cleaning and mopping to get that shit off of there.
After I finished the second mopping round this morning, Sylvie and I left the house for a couple of hours and I put the dogs up in my bedroom as usual. As NOT usual, I came home to two pee puddles in my bathroom. Sweety said the little assholes were boycotting the clean.
The Bean has become a regular in our bed at night. 99.99 percent of the time, we sleep so that I’m spooning her. The other night my back had started to hurt so I turned my back to her instead of facing her after she’d woken up and eaten. I dozed off and was violently awoken by a sleeping Bean nestled up against my back with her fists full of my hair and her feet braced against my back while she pulled the hair. One hell of a way to wake up. She was riding me like a little cowgirl. No more turning my back on her at night.
We’re going on vacation soon and I think this will be the last use of her portable playyard to sleep in and the last use of her baby carseat. She’s just about outgrown both of them. I went through her clothes tonight and took out the things that were too small and couldn’t believe that she used to wear such tiny stuff. She ate spaghetti tonight! I am so going to miss her being so small but I think she’s going to be one interesting human as she grows.
